Nokia 5800 XpressMusic video demos

Nokia’s big touchscreen contender launched today, and along with it came a bunch of video demos. Not only do we have the above video rundown of the Tube, but we also see Nokia Music in action. It looks just about on par with iTunes or Zune in functionality, but of course we’ll let the people decide that. Editing video right on the device looks pretty awesome, and that guitar pick is a pretty stylish touch, but in the end it doesn’t really look like it has the sex appeal that the iPhone demands. Slotmusic: an album on an SD card

sandiskmusic1.jpg

I think the main reason this news appeals to me is that it's off-the-scale CUTE. Yes, I can be that easily bought.

Storage device company Sandisk has announced the imminent launch of music on
SD cards: instead of a CD, you could buy music on a teeny-weeny little SD and be listening to er, The White Stripes (are they still cool?), via your cell phone, your car, your computer's SD slot, or... well, I guess that's about it.

The question is, given that many of us have MP3 players... why bother? Still, Sony BMG, Universal, EMI and Warner obviously think this idea has legs, as they've all agreed to release albums on the new format.
