tetris and breakout piggy banks help you pinch pennies

Remember when it cost just a quarter to play your favorite arcade games? What would you say if I told you that you could play two Atari arcade classics for just one red cent a game.

Atari Breakout and Tetris Piggy Banks

While these pint-size versions of Breakout and Tetris aren’t totally faithful to their arcade counterparts, they only charge a single shiny copper penny to play.

New Nixie Video Shows the Xbox 360 NXE Upgrade

Major Nelson just posted a new video showing how the upgrade process to the Nixie “NXE” is going to go.

Don’t turn off your Xbox when you are upgrading and you should stop any major downloading or filesharing on your computer while that Nixie goodness is being served to your Xbox 360 on November 19th.

Tectoy Zeebo Game Console

While this generation's game consoles in the living room are able to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection, Tectoy's Zeebo takes a different route by relying on 3G instead. This is weird, since 3G networks aren't exactly widespread and they are also infamous for the lack of coverage. Still, the Zeebo will be released in Brazil later next July before making its way to other markets in the following months.

Street Fighter II HD Remix Trailer is FULL OF WIN

Joystiq and Xbox 360Fanboy got their hands on the new Street Fighter II HD Remix trailer. It is so awesome it is slightly painful to watch.

The inclusion of this song in the movie King of Kong a Fist Full of Quarters made it Oscar worth. Of all the games released in 2008 I have been pineing waiting for this one the most. This is the game that made me get a Hori Xbox 360 Fighting Stick. We know this game is out soon.. but how soon... Not soon enough.

New Xbox 360 Experience Exclusive Hands-On with Xbox's Aaron Greenburg

Earlier this week Microsoft invited me over to Redmond to take a look at the New Xbox Experience that is part of the new Xbox 360 Dashboard. It was the first time in a while that I've made it all the way over to Redmond since I live on the other side of the Puget Sound. I caught an early ferry and had good I-520 traffic karma and found my way to the building at Microsoft that houses a significant part of the Xbox team. I was a little surprised that they did not have an Xbox 360 demo kiosk on the ground floor lobby.
