It's happening all over again. A few months ago we saw AT&T offering their iPhone customers free access to all 17,000 nationwide AT&T WiFi HotSpot, only to abruptly take the page offline.
3 is apparently aiming to double it's customer base to nearly 7m by 2012. Kevin Russell recently spoke to the Financial Times and laid down the gauntlet with this challenging stat.
Russell has apparently spent his first year cutting costs, and it now looking to boost profits - and a good part of that is adding customers. Interestingly, the latest data on 3UK shows 3.4m active customers and £1.6bn of revenue (in 2007).

So, we all know by now the gist of Telstra’s price plans for the Apple iPhone 3G. Now it’s Optus’s turn to reveal its own iPhone 3G price plans, and unlike Telstra’s announcement, this one lays it all out for everyone to see.
Yesterday we got word that O2 would be offering their UK iPhone 3G customers the option to go pre-paid with the next-generation iPhone 3G. The UK O2 website indicated that the 8GB iPhone 3G would be available for £299.99 (about $600) without contract, while the 16GB iPhone 3G would command a £359.99 (about $700) price-tag for the privilege of using the handset on O2's pay-as-you-go calling plans.

T-Mobile will be joining the various other wireless providers in providing prorated early termination fees. I use the term “prorated” loosely, as you won’t actually save any money until you’ve been a customer for a year and a half. At 180 days from the end of your contract, though, your early termination fee will drop from $200 to $100 and at 90 days, the fee will drop to $50.
The new fee policy will begin on June 28th and will only apply to new customers or those customers that renew their contracts after June 28th.
Full release after the jump.

I guess you have no choice but to announce a few handsets that have been leaked all over the place or it was all just coincidence. Whatever the case, Verizon Wireless has just pulled back the covers on the LG Decoy, Dare and Chocolate 3. Pricing was not disclosed, but we do know the Dare is coming later this month. The Decoy will launch on the 16th (we already knew that) and the Chocolate will find its way out in July.
