Get iPhone 3G in Taiwan on Dec 13

Chunghwa Telecom has set December 13 as the official date of iPhone 3G available in Taiwan. The company would sell iPhones with a two-year service contract for a minimal month fee of NT$1,049 (about US$ 31).

People can get a free iPhone with 8GB memory space by signing up a two-year contract with a monthly charge of NT$2,549 (about US$ 76). Another option is also available: buy the iPhone from this operator for NT$26,600 (about US$ 800) and get a prepaid number.

Sprint Customers Now Can Share Photos and Videos on MySpace, Photobucket and YouTube with Picture Mail Enhancement

Just in time for the holidays and all the photo-friendly activities that come with the season, Sprint and VeriSign Messaging and Mobile Media announced today an enhancement to Sprint Picture Mail that allows Sprint customers to send digital photos and videos straight from their phones to popular social media sites, including MySpace, Photobucket and YouTube.

Samsung Demoed Foldable AMOLED Display Screen

Possibly the next innovative way of getting a large display screen with a smaller phone body size, Samsung SDI has presented their foldable AMOLED display prototype during the FPDI 2008. There are 2 pieces of thin AMOLED displays placed side by side, creating a almost perfect large WQVGA display screen. You can only see a very thin line at the joint of 2 AMOLED displays. Lenovo Locks Out Thieves from ThinkPad Notebook PCs with SMS

Lenovo today announced plans to bring customers a new security defense against unauthorized data access on Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks. The Lenovo Constant Secure Remote Disable feature lets users send a simple text message command via a cell phone to render their PC useless to unauthorized users when the notebook is lost or stolen. Lenovo’s Remote Disable feature will be available on select ThinkPad notebooks equipped with mobile broadband starting in 1Q 2009.

Salling Media Sync 1.0.2 supports new phones, enhances on-device sorting and artwork syncing

The Salling Media Sync, which synchronize playlists, music, and podcasts in iTunes onto mobile devices, will now support T-Mobile’s G1 and Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1. The new version also improves performance with HTC’s TouchFLO 3D devices.
