Last week, there was a BlackBerry Storm Challenge that made a debut in San Francisco (pictured above). The contest/promo event allowed participants to step inside of a giant BlackBerry Storm to try and grab as many Verizon business cards as they could (giant fans blow air from the bottom of the Storm). If the contestant was able to grab at least 7, they would win a BlackBerry Storm! Around 100 were up for grabs, although winners would have to wait for the official launch to get their brand new touchscreen beauty.
At any rate, it looks like this same event is going down in New York City this coming week!
WHEN: Thurs. Nov. 13, 10AM - 7PM
WHERE: Manhattan - Father Duffy Square (northern triangle of Times Square on Broadway)
If you’re in the area, I suggest you give it a shot! Participants are eligible to win a new BlackBerry Storm along with a $50 Verizon wireless gift card for activation. No details on the number of Storms and gift cards that will actually be available to win, but one would have to assume it would be at least 100 to match the San Fran event. Good times indeed!
Anyone remember that game show where the person stepped into the booth to grab as much money as they could before time ran out? For some reason I can’t remember… and it’s bothering me
